The Gideon’s Three Hundred Bible Crossword
Gideon is threshing wheat by the winepress to hide it from the Midianites when he is greeted as a mighty man of valour. Gideon's Three Hundred covers what follows — the fleece laid out twice, wet then dry; an army of thirty-two thousand cut to ten thousand and then to three hundred by the way the men drank at the water.
The victory itself is the strangest part of the grid: trumpets, empty pitchers, and lamps hidden inside them. The closing verse is the LORD's instruction that three hundred will be enough.
