1 Samuel 9–31

The King Saul Bible Crossword

15×15 grid · Medium · Ends on 1 Samuel 10:24

He goes out to look for his father's lost asses and comes back anointed king. King Saul follows the whole reign — head and shoulders above the people, hiding among the stuff on the day he is chosen, and then the slow unravelling: the unlawful sacrifice, the spared king of Amalek, the spear thrown at a harpist in his own house.

It's a Medium puzzle with a long story behind it, and the clues assume the chapters rather than the highlights. The closing verse is the shout on the day Israel first had a king.
