Job 1–42

The Patience of Job Bible Crossword

15×15 grid · Medium · Ends on Job 1:21

A perfect and upright man loses everything in an afternoon, sits down in ashes, and says the line the book is remembered for. The Patience of Job covers the whole book — the messengers arriving one after another, the potsherd, the three friends who sit seven days in silence and then talk far too much, and the voice out of the whirlwind that answers a question with questions.

It's a Medium puzzle with some of the archive's most striking answers, because Job's vocabulary is unlike anything else in Scripture. The closing verse is what he says when the messengers have finished.
